FRIENDS vs HAWAIIAN FRIENDS
This is not my own thoughts, I got this from a freind and I thought that I would share this with everyone.
ENJOY!
FRIENDS: Never ask for food.
HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Always bring the food.
FRIENDS: Will say “hello”.
HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Will give you a big hug and a kiss.
FRIENDS: Call your parents Mr. and Mrs.
HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Call your parents’ mom and dad.
FRIENDS: Have never seen you cry.
HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Cry with you.
FRIENDS: Will eat at your dinner table and leave.
HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Will spend hours there, talking, laughing and just being together.
FRIENDS: Know a few things about you.
HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Could write a book with direct quotes from you.
FRIENDS: Will leave you behind if that’s what the crowd is doing.
HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Will kick the whole crowds’ ass that left you.
FRIENDS: Would knock on your door.
HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Walk right in and say, “I’m home!”
FRIENDS: Are for a while.
HAWAIIAN FRIENDS: Are for life.
Taking Surfing To A New Level
2 weekends ago I was shooting a wedding at Kaka’ako Water Front and the surf happen to be pretty big and as I was waiting for my couple, an 8 wave freak set came in and this sailboat was still in the channel. The captain did a great job keeping his boat from flipping. I can only image what is passages was thinking and feeling as the waves engulf the boat. Notice how close the boat is to the surfers in the lineup. Not to mentions there is a man holding on the mast.

Why Wedding???
The other day I was asked why I photograph weddings and the answer was simple, and my reply:
I photograph weddings because of the joy that I see in the bride’s eyes at any given moment throughout the day. To see that twinkle in her eyes, the smile on her face and the love she has not only for her man, but she knows without a shadow of a doubt, that she is loved by him. She is whole, she is loved, and she is protected and her man will be there for her. It is that radiant joy that comes from the bride that fills my heart.
It is also a reminder of who I’m supposed to be as a man and a husband. A man of integrity, a man that has made a decision to love the woman that he has made a vow to, and to keep that love in his heart, to respect her, to honor her, to be her shield and pillar, to lift her up to GOD and remember that she is a gift from HIM and that without her he is not whole. It reminds me to ensure that she has the twinkle in her eyes and that smile on her face, the same as the day she said YES to me. And when that smile and joy is not there, I need to look at myself and make changes to bring back the smile and joy. For as GOD LOVES me, and my happiness is important to HIM; I LOVE her and her happiness is important to me. She is the love of my life and I am only whole with her by my side.
Keep the love strong!

Welcome Home
As I knelt before my LORD fear struck me violently, I dear not look into the eyes of my LORD my GOD. As He approached I knelt even lower, I could feel the ever-consuming fire of HIS GLORY, HIS GLORY was fierce and violent, consuming everything not pure and holy, it was unquenchable. He called my name, HE called me to come, I was filled with fear I could not move. HE walked towards me, with ever step HIS presents consumed me more and more, the fear became overwhelming and uncontrollable. He stood over me and again HE called my name, but I dare not look for I am in the presents of my KING, the KING of the universe and HIS all-consuming GLORY. HE called my name again, yes PAPA I replied. HE said, I want you to stand, I can’t PAPA for fear has overwhelmed me. So HE knelt before me, lifted my head and asked, MY son why are you filled with such fear, I replied, PAPA I have been unjust, I have done great evil, and most of all I have hung you on a cross. Then HE asked, are you afraid of Death? No PAPA, I replied. Then what is it HE asked? I’m afraid of never seeing YOUR GLORY, never standing in YOUR presents, never knowing YOUR LOVE. Then with a smile my PAPA said, you are seeing MY GLORY, you are standing in MY presents, and you will know MY LOVE for you.
Welcome home MY son, MY prince.
