Date vs Day
Many couples plan their wedding around a day (mainly Saturday) instead of a date that has great meaning to them. Now this is not a bad thing, but to me, and this is just my own opinion, the date has much more meaning then just having my wedding on the weekend so my guest can come, and that is why most couples pick the weekend, because that is when most of their guest are off. The way I look at is, if you have a strong relationship with someone, they will be there and if they can’t because of circumstances, that’s fine, they will be there in spirit. Not to mention, almost always, your wedding date throughout the weekday will be available with vendors you want and you don’t have to settle. Sometimes (not all the time) your vendors might even cheaper or have no minimum to hire them on the weekday vs the weekend. To many of us get caught up with what everyone else wants or thinks, remember this is your day, no one else’s. Have your wedding on the date you want it and how you want it.
