Another Happy Bride
I think the best part of my job is when the bride is happy. That’s my reward.
“Hello Aaron,
I just wanted to thank you again! We Love the photos and so does everyone else who sees them. You are the best! I have friends that have been asking if you do photos around CT, they all love your work just as we do. I don’t think I have ever liked any photos taken of myself let alone the many (by many I mean all!) you took. Thank you! a million times over again!
Thank you again,
Irene”
REST!!!
This week’s tip is real simple, REST!!! Get lots of it, or as much as you can before your wedding day, and especially the night before the BIG Day. There is nothing worst then looking like you just woke up from the dead. There is only so much make-up can cover up. On your wedding day you want to look fresh and alive, not dead and dragging. Remember that the camera will catch everything. So again, if you want those pix to look good, then make sure you get lots of rest.

What To Ask A Photographer
What To Ask A Photographer
The most important question you should ask is, “Are you the photographer who will be photographing my wedding?”
When hiring a photographer you are not investing in images, (files, pictures) or albums, you are investing in the photographer’s talent and creativity to photograph your wedding. So your first thought should be, “Who is the right photographer to capture our wedding images?” Start off by making appointments with several photographers to view their work. You may save yourself some time by viewing the photographer’s website before meeting with him or her. It is very important to get out there and look!
When meeting with a photographer, be sure that the work you are viewing is the work of the photographer you are meeting with and he or she is the one that will be photographing your wedding. Some photographers do all the work personally. Then there are studios that have one, or possibly several, associate photographers. If hiring a photographer from this type of studio you may not get the photographer you initially met with. Point in case: meet with the photographer that will be photographing your wedding.
Personality and rapport are extremely important. Your photographer is your most intimate vendor next to your wedding planner/coordinator (if you have one). It is very important that the both of you feel comfortable with the photographer, because he or she will spend the better part of the wedding day with you. Even if you think a photographer’s work is the greatest, if you do not like their personality, attitude, and you do not feel comfortable, it will show in the images. You are investing in this person’s vision, creative abilities, professionalism, character and personality. Ask yourself, “Would I invite this person to my wedding?”, because that is exactly what you will be doing.
Along with your memories, your photographs will be the only things you have left once your wedding day has past. Be sure to hire the right person for you. A good match between you and your photographer will create great images and pleasant memories to look back upon.

Why Wedding???
The other day I was asked why I photograph weddings and the answer was simple, and my reply:
I photograph weddings because of the joy that I see in the bride’s eyes at any given moment throughout the day. To see that twinkle in her eyes, the smile on her face and the love she has not only for her man, but she knows without a shadow of a doubt, that she is loved by him. She is whole, she is loved, and she is protected and her man will be there for her. It is that radiant joy that comes from the bride that fills my heart.
It is also a reminder of who I’m supposed to be as a man and a husband. A man of integrity, a man that has made a decision to love the woman that he has made a vow to, and to keep that love in his heart, to respect her, to honor her, to be her shield and pillar, to lift her up to GOD and remember that she is a gift from HIM and that without her he is not whole. It reminds me to ensure that she has the twinkle in her eyes and that smile on her face, the same as the day she said YES to me. And when that smile and joy is not there, I need to look at myself and make changes to bring back the smile and joy. For as GOD LOVES me, and my happiness is important to HIM; I LOVE her and her happiness is important to me. She is the love of my life and I am only whole with her by my side.
Keep the love strong!
