Hawaii Photographer ~ Church "Is GOD Dead?"
I took this shot last week of Kamakawiwo'ole Church on the Hamakua coast on the Big Island (Hawaii Island) on my way back to my Hilo home. I have passed this old abandon church many times and every time I tell myself to stop and take a photo of it but I am always in a rush. Well I finally stopped and took some photos of it. As I sat in my truck across the highway from it I wondered what happen to this church. Why was it abandon? Is GOD dead to this congregation? I was sad as I looked through my viewfinder of my camera, I wasn't sure why I was sad, but then I remember that the church building is not the body of CHRIST, we are the body of CHRIST.
By the way a classmate gave me the name of the church, her and her husband got married there back in the early 90's
